Originally from New York City, Gregory Gronbacher has called the Grand Rapids area home since 1995.
He earned his B.A. in philosophy, politics, and theology at Franciscan University in Ohio, his masters in philosophy and political economy (M.Phil.) at the International Academy of Philosophy in Liechtenstein, and completed his doctoral work in ethics and social philosophy (Ph.D.) at the Milltown Institute in conjunction with Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.
His areas of interest include social philosophy, personalism and philosophy of the human person, virtue and natural law ethics, the intellectual history of Western Culture, Humanism, cultural criticism, naturalism and epistemology, and political economy.
A former university professor, blogger, and author, Gregory is engaged with several academic organizations committed to promoting rational and humane forms of spirituality, including religious naturalism and Christian Humanism.
An Anglican, he attends St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
